In Persepolis , the women had to wear the veil because it was obligatory in 1980. The childern/girls didn't like weariing the veil and some of them would play around with them. The girls would tie the veils together from the ends and play jumprope. None of them knew why they had to wear it and nobody would tell them. At one of the demonstrations, a german journalist took a picture of Marjane's mother. Marjane was proud of her mother because her picture was published in all of the European Newspapers. In one picture Marjane's mother looked scared. Her mom died her hair and she wore dark glasses for a long time. Marjane wants to be a prophet because their maid didn't eat with them, because her father had a cadillac, and her grandma's knees always hurt. Also, because she wanted everybody to celebrate the traditional Zarathustrian Holidays. Marjane basically wanted to make things right and fair for everybody.

The thing that inspired me to come up with this Six Word Memoir is my baby brother. Because he's the only one that looks different compared to me, my sister, and my little brother. He doesn't have the same dad as us, so he's our half-brother. The red gummy bears represent me, my brother, and sister because the three of us look the same. And because we're all from the same dad. And the yellow gummy bear represents my baby brother because he looks different and he's from a different dad. But even though we don't have the same father we all still love him like if he was one of us. My baby brother really stands out like the yellow gummy bear in the picture.

Music!

My favorite thing to do when im bored is to hear music. I usually hear songs by artists like The Eagles, Elton John, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Maroon5, We The Kings, etc. My types of music are mostly oldies or songs that sound like oldies. I really like the beats/sounds of the songs. Sometimes I wonder how it was back then when that type of music was around. I think I would have loved to live in that time with all the classic cars that they used and the music they played. This type of music is relaxing and it puts me in a good mood. I would really like to learn how to play or write that kind of music. But that's just not my thing. I also think that music brings life in everybody and everything. Without music everything and everybody would be boring.
